

Harvard medical school researchers have found that drinking one or more cups of black tea daily was associated with 45% decrease in heart attack. ‘The flavonoids in the tea may reduce the buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries,’ says Howard Sesso, Sc.D., the lead researcher.
Similarly drinking a cup of green tea could help you fight of allergies and asthma. Japanese researchers found that a chemical in green tea blocks the production of immunoglobulin E (IgE), a compound the body needs to trigger allergic reactions. More studies to verify the discovery are under way.
